Thyroid Male TSH >60

Yesterday I went Hospital I ended with knowing I have thyroid. Doctors simply said I have to take tablet lifetime. I need to know the alternative

Hi Raj, If you are tested with TSH > 60, most likely you are hypothyroidism. You may want to post your question on another forum called "hypothyroidism".

I agree with what Mike said.  You have hypothyroidism and the only treatment for that is to take thyroid medication.  You can research the different types of thyroid medications.  Some people do better on desiccated thyroid or T3/T4 combination drugs but you will find more information on the Hypothyroidism Board because you have Hypothyroidism.

To put it bluntly, the alternative is hypothyroidism with a its symptoms and eventually myxoedema coma, which comes with a reduced level of consciousness and a mortality rate of up to 50%.
