TIA Questions

Hi

I went to the hospital last Wednesday from work .

I had strange numbness in both legs and arms which lasted a couple of minutes and had difficulty with typing.

I had 5 episodes lasting a couple of minutes each time the last one I had also caused a tingling in my face and slight dizzieness.

The doctor I saw advised that I was slurring slightly and left side was a bit weaker.

I am now on Asprin and have an appointment for Thursday at the hospital.

My question is that I feel absoutely fine and not sure if this was a TIA as advised at the hospital.

Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like a TIA Steve, over 6 years ago i suffered much the same & had been taking warfarin up until 2 months ago.

My episodes soon cleared after taking the right dosage glad to hear your feeling well

Thanks for your comments Dean.

All the best.

Definitely sounds like a TIA Steve, they will put you on different medication when you see the doctor. You need to look at this as an early warning sign and make sure you ho to the doctors. Good luck hope it goes well x

Thanks Trudy for your advice and comments which are very much appreciated.

All the best.

If the Dr thought it was a TIA you will probably be offered a scan, I'm surprised you weren't given one at the time.

Hi Pauline

Thanks for your reply.

I went to the TIA clinic last week and the Doctor said it wasn't a TIA so not sure what it was.Did not have any scans. All the best.
