Tibolone for low libido.

Hi,

I did a bit of research in Tibolone for low libido after the menopause, i'm 55 and my libido has gone down hill a lot and its affecting my relationship with my husband, so i asked my GP about it, she was a bit reluctant at first but asked some questions about breast cancer etc in the family and checked my blood pressure which was fine, she prescribed me a months worth of Tibolone and i have to go back and update her, i have been on Tibolone for just 6 days so i'm not expecting miracles yet, anybody else on Tibolone for low libido ect? I have noticed i'm not having any racing thoughts for the last few days and had a naughty dream last night lol. I would just like to add i do take Mirtazapine 15mg for anxiety and depression which is well controlled now. Any ideas or thoughts on this drug and how long it may take to start having an effect on my libido or not? Thankyou 😊

Hi I have been on Tibolone for many years and now 65 and still enjoying a great intimate relationship and attribute  it to  The tibolone. Sorry I cannot remember now how long it took but I am sure you will note changes by 3-4 weeks. Good luck 😉

Hi sallyava

I know this isnt about tibilone but its about mirtazapine.

I was on this med when anxiety and depression were really bad. Cut a long story short im post meno now and struggling emotionally.

I saw another gp and he said i should go on cytalapram as mirtazapine dosent work for menopause anxiety and depression.

I disagree and am scared of ssri mefs not done good on them before.

I have not tried the cytalapram as yet would rather go back on mirtazapine as im familier with it.

What are your thoughts.

Any other ladies here tried cytalapram? X
