About 10 days ago I contacted Time to Talk on line. I was amazed to get a response the next working day and a telephone assessment was booked for two days thereafter. The next day I received a couple of questionnaires and the next day the tel call. Very sympathetic and encouraging conversation. I thought she said she would ring the next day at 11.30 am. with suggestions as to a way forward. No call. I thought I must have misunderstood and the call was going to come the same day the following week. No call but a letter suggesting 6 sessions of guided self help. Great. But, no appointment or instructions as to what I am supposed to do next. Only “threats” that I would be discharged if I was not going to keep the appointment without letting them know ! I give up.
How is your time to talk going or have you now done the 6 weeks Linda?
Sorry to say it did not go at all. After a very encouraging and prompt first response to my contact the caller said she would ring back at 11.30 am the following day with suggestions as to how to proceed. No call. A few days later an incomprehensible letter which included saying that if I did not take up the appointment I would be “discharged”. There was no appointment. A couple of weeks later another very nice woman rang to make an appointment, when I said I had tried CBT before and it was not for me she said she would refer me to a specialist team who help people with chronic conditions (I have osteoarthritis) and she would send an e-mail referring me that day.Nothing since - that was weeks ago and I have had to go to the GP to get Prozac and sleeping pills. Haven’t been delivered yet so don’t know if they will have any positive effect.
Thank you for the update, Hope your prescription helps.
