Tingling hands/feet during SVT Episode?

Hi all, 

22F, svt for 3 years. Maybe 5 instances within them. My longest instance was 40 minutes at 240bpm and paramedics brought me out of it. 

However, what scared me about it was that my hands and feet started going to sleep while I was having my attack. None of the exercises worked to stop it. All in all, it was probably the scariest moment of my life. 

anyone else get tingling hands/feet during their longer episodes?

Hi Rebecca. To a lay person it sounds like your blood circulation was restricted in those parts of your body at the time. I have had that many times but cannot remember it happening during SVT. I would recommend speaking to your GP or cardio specialist about it next time you see them.

Both my daughter and myself have SVT. When she has episodes,her hands numb

and sometimes they clench up and she can not move them

Yes, this also happens to me. And after an SVT, I am absolutely freezing cold, I assume because blood has not properly been circulating to my extremities.

Hello,

happens in my left foot toes every time. Usually, prior to SVT beginning, which gives me some warning.  I am pretty fit and no indication of any blood circulation problems. My theory is a sudden change in blood pressure prior to SVT.

Hi

I've not been diagnosed with SVT yet as haven't caught it on ecg. Had about 10 episodes in the last year though and with each one I have had tingling hands and feet just prior and throughout. It also acts as a bit of a warning to me! I also shake quite badly just before my heartrate starts to slow down, including my jaw. My consultant said it can be down to increased adrenaline and also oxygen isn't being pumped efficiently round your body while your heart rate is so high. Hope that helps, it's not a very pleasant feeling is it!
