Hi all. I just started a low dose of pregabalin (25mg BD) and have tingling lips and warm face....does this go away? Taking pregabalin for anxiety so the slightest change in how my body feels sets off panic!
I know exactly how you feel..when you experience severe anxiety ass I do, anything in your body that changes I too start having more anxiety and panicking as well. However, like all medication that is new (and I hate starting new meds because of the first few weeks with side effects). I started at once a day 75mg and now am at 75mg twice a day, that was two months ago. When I first started at the low dose I had double vision which would last about 2 hours, and warm face and you will also experience a feeling that you are not walking straight..not to worry they all went away..
Thank you so much for your reassuring reply. Day 4 and I'm having mood swings and weakness in my thighs....tingling lips not so bad now and not as "high" as I was. The moods swings are from angry, to sad, to depressed, to exhausted.
Yes, mood swings are the worst side effect.one minute your nice and the next you are angry..at this point I just try really hard to relax and breath and usually doesn't last long and your mood is back to normal.almost like Dr. Jackel and Mr. Hyde. You will probably find you get really angry and mad and then just as fast back to normal..you are certainly not alone with these feelings.
Hopefully the mood swings are a temporary side effect too. Just waiting to feel more relaxed. At the minute I feel like I've increased anxiety and am having to take diazepam to help with that.
