Tinnitus in ear (no pain)

I had Tinnitus in my ear, that sounded like a whooshing sound for about a week and then it went on its own but now about 3 weeks later the Tinnitus is back, and again it is whooshing but also with a little bit of ringing. There is no pain or hearing loss and so I am unsure of what I should do about it

are you on any medications as certain medication can cause tinnitus
