My insurance covered most of the cost for a knee scooter rental but it took a lot of looking to find a medical supply that would file the claim. I also purchased an I -Walk2
its like a peg leg sort of and it is great for those that have resonable balance and willing to go thru a short learning curve.
My daughter used the I walk 2 when she was in a cast before her ankle surgery. Her surgery was a week before mine and the doctor would not allow either of us to use it after our surgeries because of the danger of damaging the surgery site if we fell. She was able to really get around on it and it was a nice break from crutches. Once the doctor told us no after surgery I sold it online. It is great your insurance covered the knee scooter. Mine did not so I will sell them when I am finished using them.
