Tired all the time

Just. Moved in to week 3 and seem to be tired all the time.

Went for a sleep at 2.30 and had 4 phone calls. Of course if I pull the plugs family get worried. Everyone is so good to me I hate been a grump.

Hi I'm 2 weeks today post op and need to go for a sleep every afternoon too IMAP tired all the time

Sleep is an important part of recovery and if you are not sleeping well at night catch up and extra will be part of the day time needs. Another reason for TATT is anaemia, but I assume you had a blood test post op to check.

snooze well

why don't you make a time for every afternoon, thats what I did, from 2pm till 3pm my phine was unplugged and I had a nap. I told everyone in the immediate family or who needed to know, what I was doing, anyone else could leave a message or ring back..... I used to love my afternoon nap in the early days of my post op xxx.

Hey Attractac,

you have just been thru major surgery, so if you want to be grump then be one, as for the tiredness, we all get that in the first few weeks, your body needs time to recover, so call the family, tell them your going for a nap, switch the fone off and sleep!

Dear Attract,

It's normal, I often have a sleep in the afternoon...before the op I never slept during the day! I put my phone somewhere else, they leave a message if it's important...

I'm at the same point. I have been having a snooze after lunch every day. Some days I feel good and lie down anyway and then wake up an hour later!!

i am sleeping at night but having restless nights. Especially when it gets close to morning and I'm due pain killers.

Hi attractac

I am now headding for week 14 and even now I feel tired. It is a big surgery you have had and the best healing is done while you sleep. If you feel tired it is your body telling you to rest up and recharge your batteries. It is best to listen to it. I am sure given time your body will heal and you will get back to normal. I hate being a grump too but we are grumps because of what has happened and our bodys reaction to what has happened. .

Hi ..I'm 4 weeks post op and still find I'm tired. .I think part of it is because I'm not as active as I would like and still recovering..its also major surgery. Give it tine.⏰⏰⏰

I have had a few blood tests so I'd say that's all OK.

Good to know that others feel the same.

That's what I will do from now on. How are you progressing now.

Yes will do thanks.

I've had my sister staying and she was making sure I got quiet but now that she's gone home family a bit more concerned. But from now on phone unplugged.

I'm the same at night. Loo twice so spose no wonder we are tired during the day. Thanks to all for replies. Goodnight all.

I knew it was a big op but maybe had hoped to bounce back

quicker. I have to be a patient patient!!!

Oh good to know ... I am 16 weeks post op and not want to discourage anyone, still feel tired mid-day - energy usually in the morning hours - I am out of bed around 6  am (big improvement from 4-5 AM) and by 2 or 3 Pm knackered ... well, my other hip is hurting and that tires me out as well ...

the best is to just surrender ....

wishing you hours of sound sleep ...

I" hope to grove" again too. Even tho in my late 60ties I loved jiving to country music. The other day a fast song came on and I so wanted to shake my hips but was afraid to. Thank you for your reply.xx

Wishing you a good nights sleep and a lovely day tomorrow.

Good to be reassured that it is normal.

I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op and a couple of days ago I slept for over 3 hours!

I seemed to sleep better that night as well

like the others say your time between 2 - 3 pm

happy napping

love CarolπŸ˜„ Xx
