Hi. Does anybody find that if you are really tired your panic and or anxiety feels worse or do you think if you feel anxious and panic it brings on tiredness. ???

Anxiety and panic are definitely more pronounced when you are tired and then it makes you tired when you are constantly dealing with it. The cycle can be bad. I know for me, when I’m tired my anxiety and panic are much worse.
Yup, it's a vicious cycle.

This is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT my experience. Managing my sleep is a huge part of controlling my anxiety. I think it makes a big difference! On the one hand being anxious about sleeping because you know sleeplessness will make you anxious is rough; on the other it is a huge factor for me with big dividends.
Just don't let any doctor trick you into taking Benzos. If your sleep suffers long enough, the anxiety turns to depression. REMEBER NO BENZOS EVER. SSRIs seem to worsen anxiety, I now must take 7.5 mgs mirtazipne at bedtime because I made the mistake of taking xanax.
I'm on 30mg of citalopram and I'm currently weaning off diazepam. Was only on 2mg once a day so I now take half in the morning and half in the evening. I now therapy and accepting what we have is the way forward. Learning to relax and cope with it. I'm also thinking of trying a weighted blanket. Thanks for your advice
Massages seem to help. As does epsom salt baths before bed. Weighted blanket would probably help. I sometimes put pillows on top of me for the weight. I was 35 days off xanax, then I broke and took it again. I was awake 68 hours with a paradoxical effect! Good news is that seems to have freed me from wanting more Xanax. Bad news is I now crave booze! And the benzo withdrawl is the worst thing I have ever experienced in my life. I only took 35mgs over the course if 5 months.....I feel bad for those who took large doses for years. Evil medical system we have here in the U.S.
Yes your medical system is very different to ours in the UK. I guess there is no fast easy answer. We have to try different things and find what works best for us. I definitely want to research relaxation techniques and mindefullness so I'm not so reliant on meds. Let's hope 2018 brings us all some peace x
Messages and epsom salt baths before bed are helpful. Stay away from benzodiazepines.
Luckily I've only had them a couple of weeks and a 2mg dose which is low. Some people swear by them more than anything else. Having 3 lots of a 5mg dose a day. ????
I don't know what the Xanax and diazapam equivalents are. Over the span of 180 days, I have taken 70 Xanax pills. Each pill is 0.5mgs.
Both!! If I’m tired I feel more anxious, but if I’m having a bad panic attack or my anxiety is relentless I feel exhausted once it’s reduced.
