TKN

Hi iam 3 and half months right TKN. I have been on this site under the nickname of archie but on my first discussion had a problem with a person called Jane I know she is no longer on the site but have changed my nickname., so since I last posted things haved improved been doing a lot more phiso and am managing to drive  have been in to work but not for long .still get pain but am not taking so many pain killers  got to be a plus. The good days seem to be more than the bad days but it gets painfull at night . I still can not do long walks which I miss as I like walking my dog.

Hello glad you are feeling better keep it up.😜

Hi yes I remember the awful Jane!  Glad you are feeling better.  Do you take medication at night?   I find that if I dont I have a painful night.  I am 14 weeks tomorrow.   I find it very painful turning from side to side.   I took co codamol las night and slept quite well.  I can't do long walks without a stick which I Am trying to do without at the moment.

Hi Gillian

Yes  saw the problems you had when you first posted, that is a rare occurrence as far as I can see. People want to help on here and is a boost to read the posts on here. I am six weeks on Monday and see my consultant. Hopefully he thinks I am getting on well. I have been very lucky with pain so far and since three weeks in only have to take pain killers ( co-codamol) at night to help me get a god nights rest . I too love walking my dog and usually do between three and six miles a day depending on the weather. Today I did around 1 and a half miles,  slowly, my friend takes my dog and hers because he loves to run and chase his ball, we can let them off lead about half a mile from home which is great. Going to try driving this weekend, right leg, so not too bad . My real problem is stiffness which I hope will get better, going to get a pedal exerciser and borrow an exercise bike. Also going to physio classes for six weeks when there is a place. At least the good days are getting more for you and I fully expect it to be a good few weeks before I feel back to normal again!

Hi co codamol dose not seem to get on top of my pain have had more luck with tramadol. I was taking them four times a day but am down to two or just one at night I did also find it painful turning from side to side but that has gone now and I can do it with out pain am at the present time getting a good night,s sleep which all helps. Iam sure you will soon be walking without you stick   Soon remember it is still early days
