I stopped taking pain meds (Percocet) after the 2nd month. Should I start taking again?
Perhaps you may want to try an OTC such as naproxen or ibuprofen. I tried several things (wanting to stay off of the opioid) until I found something that worked for me. I ran this by my doctor and he was good with that. You may want to check with your doctor if you are having increased pain. I hope you are able to resolve this as it can be very frustrating. You are farther along than I am. Best wishes to you.
Thank you, I will try Aleve. Good luck to you!
If you can get to a pain Clinic they can probably advise you on the proper cocktail
For the best relief now and down line.
Thanks, I will follow up with m PCM.
Agreed. OTC meds...never go back to the Percocet...you're beyond that now. If the OTCs (like Ibuprofen 800mg TID) don't work, the doc can prescribe Tramadol...a very, very mild opioid...used as a transition from the heavy stuff to OTCs.
Stiffness can last 18 months...or beyond. Worse when you just sit around. Have to move the knee...and keep it moving.
Maybe it's time to rebuild all your muscles. Here ya go...all laid out for us by a pro...

Time to get your life back...
Chico Marx, thank you for the the great info/advice! I would suggest your information be required reading on this forum. I have followed your advice and my daily pain has subsided. I am impressed as much as you are proud, of your Daughter. Again, extremely valuable advice (better than my Doctor's).
