I forgot to tell you all yesterday that I've decided to put my second tkr on hold for now. Initially there was going to be a year between them. My first one was the 18 Sept this year. When I had my follow up with the surgeon yesterday I told him that my knee had been OK. (the one still to be done). Anyway, we decided not to go any further at the moment and he said to come back when I feel it's time and his door is always open. It might be a total difference when I go back to work. I'll wait and see. I'm only 51 so I'd rather wait as long as I can. He said it isn't quite as bad as the other one was but it's getting there
I agree totally with you, Louise. I am just over a year since I had the TKR on my right knee and have told my Dr. that I am not ready mentally or physically to have my left knee done. It is your knee and you will know when you are ready. Please remember that. As my Dr. told me; when you cannot sleep because of the pain or have given up things that you love to do, that is the time for the replacement. Good luck to you. You are a youngster. I was 68 when I had my right knee replaced.
Ye I just don't see the point. It's not nearly as sore as the one I had done.
I do not think I could face this again. I've had too many issues with pain meds. I don't know what I will do about my other knee. My husband is exhausted from all this too and I couldn't do this to him again so soon. I wish you well when you go back to work.
