Toe Infection (Photo Attached)

I am currently travelling the world and over a month ago I had a blister on both my second toes so I put a plaster on them. I then spent the next few days on the beach and sand got into the plaster.

They both got a rash but on one of the feet it has cleared up now. As you can see from the photo, one of my toes has now developed a rather strange rash. As we are in Laos there is not much medical care so we need some advice of what to do to help!

Many thanks in advance!

I should probably also note that it is rather itchy and sore.

Hello

Looking at your photograph it is a bit difficult to tell what it is but as you say it's itchy & sore & though I'm no doctor, I do wonder if you've got

shingles?

On the photograph it appears as if you have small raised lumps, do

these blister at all? If they weep & your skin as broken areas you need to keep the wound clean & covered to avoid further problems & perhaps if

you come across a chemist or doctors you will need to get it looked at.

Best of luck in getting it treated & enjoy your travels.

Regards

I would be very careful seeing you are in Laos.  Could it be a parasite?
