it started in May this year when i started feeling one side of my tongue far back rough and feeling of something stick on. self inspected and found some sore like area in foliate pappilae. Went to Dentist and ENT and both said its normal and i am getting this stuff due to my high level of mental stress and anxiety. From last 3 weeks i am having pain in ear on same side. pain in tongue and ear sometimes subside.
I was used to be chewing tobacco addict with occasion smoking but i quit all slowly and now i am tobacco free. i also have maxillary sinus polyps which cause pressure to my jaws and teeth as well. this was diagnosed in CT scan of paranasal sinuses.
can someone guide me what to do
Most of the doctors don’t care and also the majority of them don’t know and its better and easier for them to say its normal. My advice is to look for an ent that has good reviews. good luck
Hi Javed, this sounds very similar to what I’m currently experiencing… I have a second appointment coming up this month for an ENT, as the first ENT I seen said that the fleshy growth at the very back left side of my tongue was a swollen pappilea, caused by acid reflux. At the time I was relieved, but cut to 3 months later and it’s still there, and I’m experiencing neck ache on the same side (I say ache, because I’m not in pain). I find it very worrying and would love to get to the bottom of it. I have also been experiencing high stress and anxiety, and have been told too that this causes physical symtoms… I’m very worried and hoping that I get good news from my ENT appointment, I’ll keep u posted…
