Well I am pleased to say that I had a good nights sleep and the pain has subsided in my left leg but still taking the meds. It feels like a metal rod down the side of my leg when I touch it. I suppose it is a case of one step forward one step back.
When did you have your surgery ?
I had my surgery in August
Hi
Fantastic....a good nights sleep makes a big difference.
Keep taking the meds as long as you need them....there are no medals for bravery is what I was told
Long may the good nights sleep continue

Glad you had a better night's sleep! Keep taking the meds! I was considering stopping mine a couple of weeks ago but then had sudden pain again! That cleared up after a few days and everything was fine for a few more days. As I think I told you, I've now got pain again in back of thigh. Based on past experience, I'm sure it will go in a couple of days. I'm no expert but I believe the nerves are the last things to knit back and I think that's what's happening to me. I also had my surgery in August!! Still, the pain is nothing like as bad as it was before the op and I am much more mobile now. Hopefully yours will disappear in a day or two!! Keep in touch!!

Thank you can't believe just inadvertently lying on my operated side whilst I was asleep could cause so much pain it feels like I have been lying on a metal rod. Today has been easier pain wise before this blip I was beginning to feel normal again.
I can't sleep on my operated side, at the moment, either, yet I was able to a few days ago! Had to put a pillow back in the bed, last night, to make sure I didn't roll over on it! Mine felt as if I was being stabbed so sounds similar, though it didn't hurt so much once I went back onto my back!
Thank goodness for the support we all get on this site it certainly puts your mind at rest to know other people are experiencing problems
I had mine in Sept did you have Anterior hip replacement ? I just found the neatest thing nail clippers with handles and are you doing exercises yet?
Totally agree! It's so reassuring!
