I kept wondering why I was getting eczema spots all over my body and through my own research online I found out I am suffering from Clobetasol, Elidel (protopic) and Taclonex side effects. These rashes are worse for me than the Lichen Sclerosus I have on my abdomen, back, etc. What a nightmare..
Had I known the real dangers of these drugs I would have read the labels and used them at a minimum instead of following my dermatologists instructions. What looked like new Lichen rashes was actually reactions from the medicines aka steroid induced eczema and addiction. Good luck everybody!
Thank you very much for posting. I was beginning to think something like this was happening. My abdomen and back have been constantly breaking out with new rashes. I have a combination steriod with three ingredients. Can't win, can we?
Thank you for posting this. I have LS and I'm susceptible to excema. I have never used Clobetasol, as I seem to be able to keep things quiet down there by change of diet (giving up wheat and sugar, for the most part. About 90% of the time.
That actually was already in motion BEFORE the first LS breakout, as I had read of people taming their excema after giving up wheat), and using coconut oil to keep the area moisturized, sodium tetra borate (Borax) to keep fusing down, and lots of probiotics and a few nutritional supplements.
I know everyone has to find their own solutions, and what works for me may not work for everyone, but I am taking note that Clobetasol is not a solution for everyone. I was worried I was doing something wrong by avoiding the Clobetasol-- a steroid that strong scared the stuffing out of me. Was hoping to find a non-prescription solution, and I think I have. My body seems to like this method just fine, for now.
Thanks for this important information. Steroids have a lot of negative side effects. I don't use them and have been getting trememdous results from baking soda baths, emu and other oils, and alistar's borax treatment.
