I had a total hip replacement on 21 July 2019. I fell in a freak accident and crushed my femural neck. All went well. I take no pai killers. I just feel sick and nauseas all the time. I have Vertigo and vomit.
I was told anaesthetics get stored in liver and toxins release can take up to six months. I taste drugs in my mouth as if they are in my gut, but I take paracetamol now and then for the headaches.
never heard of that . see another DOC (internal MED) for a 2nd opinion

Steve86482, are you a medical doctor? also had a total hip replacement? I have not felt well since after op. Had good days, but some are bad. I had a spinal block and general anaesthetic. I have a smart “modern” cut and inside the swelling and soreness is going down.
I vomitted after surgery and have felt nauseas a lot. I have a hitter taste in my mouth as if I took a lot of bitter drugs.
How long ago did you have surgery? I don’t have gut issues per se. Just this nausea and dizziness. specialist warned me Tuesday last that it was a massive operation and that it will take time. 21 September will be eight weeks post surgery.
May be my physiological responses are just A-typical, as I have responded medically A-, typically in many instances and is definitely not a textbook person or rather patient.
Heszu Probiotics are good for over all health I had surgery few years ago, but I now have sciatic nerve damage. probiotics might help with nausea after hip surgery it does take good year to fully recover if your not taking any kind of of pain pills not sure why your having dizziness alot of meds will cause dizziness

Hi Heszu,
Maybe your body finds it difficult to handle this new part (prosthesis).
Give it time.
And don’t underestimate the trauma of a freak accident (I speak from experience), that might turn your stomach as well.
Eat well, exercise and take rest.
Seems that in this day and ageTHR is considered a routine procedure. Maybe for the surgeons, but definitely not always for the patient.
You will get better, with time.
Take good care of yourself and if the symptoms persist definitely have your blood checked (hb - iron levels).
