Hi I was going along quite good but the last coupl of days I have been experiencing cramp like pains in the back of my knee when sitting with keg at 90 degree angle has anyone else experienced this as I am getting worried
I don't have cramps but I do have trouble sitting with my legs down. Being in a car has been a problem for me.
The man next to me at Physio said the same and he is four weeks. He was given some tablets but the Physio said eat bananas as potassium helps prevent cramp . Thankfully I don't get it.
I had cramp like pains immediately after surgery and it was around the end of my third week I started finally feeling some relief. The PT really helped, and any time I could stretch them and massage the area. I was told no heat, but went for it anyway (while icing the top). From what I was told, it's everything resetling. I'm 5.5 months post-surgery.
Yes I got cramps too, I was told not to sit for too long like that, if I had too I kept getting up and walking around and stretching. Good idea with bananas I have one every day and keep really hydrated at least two litres of water a day. No cramps now at nine and a half weeks post TKR.
Yes I have it too eight days post op its a normal thing I do have a homedics foot massager I put my feet o for fifteen minutes great relief but eat bananas and walk round sitting or laying down all the time does not help.. Get moving I know as this is my 2nd TKR in fifteen weeks it does ease
Many thanks for this it is reassuring as I thought something was going horribly wrong. I have started on the Bananas. Have been walking quite a bit and doing the exercises.
Been browsing and learned that Avacado pears have more potassium than bananas so ordered a couple with my shopping delivery....
Very true, I eat no meat and as little dairy as possible. I have banana and avocado smoothies made with almond milk, very good for me! Obviously I also need to keep myself well hydrated so lots of water as well. Avocados have so many good things!
