Hello to all,

I'm such a weird place right now I don't even know what to do. I'll just start I've recently tested positive for hsv-2. I was tested 2014 and tested negative for any STDs. I've been with my wife for 24 years and abstained for the two years before I met her, so have not been with anyone else 26 years. She went and got tested after I didand she came back negative. I don't understand how it could be possible. I know for a fact she's been with multiple partners and had unprotected sex in the last 2 years and as far as I know still continues with one of them. How can this be, how can I test positive. She test negative it has to be from her. I appreciate any help from anyone thank you.

It could relate to the type of tests you each had done (IgG or IgM), plus whether you already carry HSV1.

Hi Feliz,

As far as I know they were both blood tests. In 2014 I did test positive for HSV 1. But that's it.

Better you confirm the tests you and your wife had done last, and how you both scored, if numeric values were provided.
