Tramadol and irritability

My husband is tramadol and our life has become unbearable.  The children and I are always on edge.  Is it normal to be irritable on Tramadol?

whoops he is on Tramadol, not he is tramadol

Yes it is. Best thing for him would to get off the stuff asap.

I was on the drug for four years until this past April. For a long time I was unaware of the effects it had on me until I went to a support group for the disease I was prescribed tramadol for. Irritability is certainly one of the side effects I experienced and it was often irrational and linked to when I had ingested tramadol. I’d suggest to talk to your husband when he is a good mood, tell him you’re concerned and are coming from a loving place, ask him to keep a brief journal of how he’s feeling throughout the day and why. Also, ask him to include the time and doseage of tramadol taken. With that awareness hopefully steps can be taken to either lessen the burden on you and your kids through other pain management options or through discontinuation altogether. It is my opinion, from my experience and what I’ve read online and heard from medical professionals, that tramadol should not be used for chronic pain if it can be avoided. The side effects are numerous and detrimental. All the best to you and your family.

Sometimes it happens but not often,I am on tram,,but I become like soft n cool can do more thru days on tram, not aggressive.

Say to him to try to take more or little bit less of the tram,I think that the his dosage is wrong.

thank you for your comments, I feel better knowing it is just not in my imagination
