Dear ...

I have been taking the above for approximately 8 months for right sided sciatica, i started a controlled withdrawal as i had read up on peoples concerns, i have struggled with sleep since reducing down to 50mgs morning and evening and now off the drug get between 1-3 hours around 5-6 am in the morning if im lucky i get 3 hours if not an hours sleep its just not enough

.

I have taken venlaraxine 225mg successfully for 7 years with seroquel for sleep the seroquel this has now stopped working and i have tried amytriptyline, phenergan, and now trying atavax tonight, how long does it take to get your sleep back on track would welcome some wisdon from

thanks in anticipation .....

Hi caroline. If i do not take two sleeping pills at night i do not sleep the whole night. But as up to now i have been sleeping diring the day , it has been dreadful. the sleep was so bad during the day, my wife and i had to do things like shoping and what ever when i was not in bed,. during the day the sleep would take over my body. The dr said do a sleep chart which we did. but in the end he said it could be narco llepsy , and if you look this up  no cure really. I have been off since Saturday and only been to bed syesterday a couple of times. What was worse my DR does not really beleive me . I am due to have a hip replacement, he says Tramadole suits me. Hello!!!!!!!!!!!smile  yes right. It is a tough one. plus head aches '

Sorry can not help ,much my sleep pill is called zholume i think just have to get more tioday they only give me enough every two weeks, and i had toreally argue with dr for increase from one to two a night as i would only wake up after 4 hours with just one

best of luck and if you find any thing please let us all know!!!

peter ps lucky i am retired as i would have lost my job for sure with the sleep day time thing

Wish I could help Caroline but I only struggled with lack of sleep due to RLS which has finally all but gone and what's left does not wake me.

Perhaps you need an sleep assessment in a sleep clinic. I hope you find a way to rest soon

Be well

RSL is restless legs syndrome. Horrible thing glad mine has gone now. My hubby has is every night. Sometimes it's so bad we have to sleep in separate beds. :-(
