Hi I`m new, just took 1st tablet at lunch today  Just got a wee question thats worrying me- If I happen to eat something too high in fat, how long would it take before I would need to rush to the loo? Are we talking immediately or will I get a warning? Oh dear, I dont want to get caught out  Also does the Collins book give all the info I need on fat content as well as calories ???? :D
mpye - it is hard to say about reaction time...could be hours and some people find it may no be as long....everyone's reaction time is different so with experience you will know...hope you don't have the experience at all. The Collins book will tell you a lot more than you will ever need...gives calorie, protein, carbs, fat and fibre....how's that! It is a very detailed list of foods and includes many, many popular brands on sale in the shops. It is money well spent.
cheers for your reply. Just to clarify, if I eat too much fat I will have the runs etc, if I stick to low fat I should be OK but still \"pass\" most of the fat I have eaten ? Also should I aim to have no more than 15g of fat at each meal ?
mpye.....again everybody is different...some will have the dreaded runs if they eat too much fat and others may not...you will get to know your own body very quickly in the next weeks. You should aim not to eat more than 25-30 grams of fat per day...keep to a low fat diet but not a 'no fat' diet...we do need some fat....under 30 grams is best as the instructions state in the package.
cheers again - so I should eat no more than 30grams of fat per DAY ?
That's right!
On the question of time it takes for orange oil - it takes 2 days for me. If I overdo the fat a bit on day 1, then I get the squits a bit on day 3. On the only occasion I really overdid it ( Easter Sunday - loads of baked salmon - I though it was fish and therefore low fat - derrr) I had a terrible Tuesday.
What a bizarre experience to be discussing this with strangers/potential friends!
I had liver on Monday night, still suffering this morning. Started Tuesday morning.
