i am going to the caribean for xmas l have copd asthma depression and heart valve replacement but cant get any travel insurance under £1500  l have tried just about every insurance help please

Suggest you contact the British Lung Foundation helpline who have a list of insurers.  Or perhaps post on the BLF discussion forum where many UK COPD people do still travel overseas.

Hi,

When we were looking for travel insurance for pre-existing conditions it was suggested we try a company called "insurance with". If you put the usual start for a website followed by  " insurance with" it will bring up the site - then just click on pre-existing conditions. Worth a shot! Wish I was going to the Caribbean - my husband (who has COPD) is too scared to go anywhere (I mean ANYWHERE!) in case he picks up something ... it is driving me mad! I suspect he now has so little immunity to bugs, he would be right.
