Traveling abroad

Have people traveled abroad after ablation?

Yes Betty, Aflutter diagnosed Nov16, stroke Dec16, ablation Jun17, very expensive travel insurance bought Apr17, European cruise Jul17, Florida Oct17.

One short Afib episode on cruise, ate too much too late, otherwise all good.

I guess it all depends on how well the ablation went. Insurance cost me a lot due to stroke,  or Aflutter.

Go for it!

Correction, insurance cost me a lot due to stroke, NOT the Aflutter.

Thanks..hope to travel..not done much of it due to fear before ablation..want to get out of hole I have been in. mentally.

I had the usual sequence of cardiac illnesses since 2010. Successful ablation but still some a-fib attacks though somewhat mild.

No problem with going on a 10 day trip to Canada.

The only problem, at age 88, i could not obtain comprehensive medical coverage. Only accident coverage.

my a-fib as fine.

My only concern was avoiding any action that could trigger an a-fibattack. Unwise alcohol consumption etc. I do not drink alcohol at all now

Had a great time.
