6 episodes, 2 hospital admissions and twice weekly trips to ENT Dressings and I have found only 2 thing that go a little way towards alleviating this horrible condition - although I am still in the process of sorting it out...!

Where TAC cream is used (either on wick or by injection), the old wives remedy of 'Ip Glyp' helps alleviate inflammation and heat - particularly in the exterior part of the ear. Ask at ENT if you've never had this before.

I also found that on a recent visit to Italy, a visit to the Pharmacy (no prescription was required), 8 Euros and 48 hours later, I administered an anti bacterial, anti fungal, steriodal cream / drops found there which totally cleared up the episode, without returning to the UK!

Given this, I am planning a return visit to Europe for this purpose to get it sorted again.

Hi Do you know what they gave you?? im off to Spain next week i am allergic to everything now but this cream drops seems new to me?? all anti fungal bacterial in one? i had operation on Friday on my ears still no cure im still the same, had it for 8 years now and totally miffed with it really gets me down so if you could let me know it would be great

i had mine 9 years they keep saying its an infection been taking this one for six days non improvment i even strugle sleeping in that much pain they said if noo improvment just got worst dr said if no improvment will have to go and see spealist im so annoyed they still not fully sure
