Trouble with "good" leg

Following my op on my left side I have been left with a peculiar sensation in my other sine, from the knee upwards. It is a crawling ,burning feeling, a bit like pins and needles. Sometimes it gets really hot, and then it just goes away. Common sense tells me it is some sort of nerve damage following the epidural . Has anyone else had this? Should I worry about it?

hi Margaret,

You have just perfectly described the sensation I got in my operated leg. I still get it occasionally when I lay on my back now nearly 11 weeks now.  The burning sensation was just that for me the leg did not feel hot to touch, if it's anything like mine it will get better, it's just weird all these little niggles we get after but I put it down to being part of my recovery.  Take care.

You might have that assessed further. My other hip is bad and is hurting more since the surgery. It may be the epidural .I would go back to your OS and discuss all possibilities so you know how to best handle it. Best. Wishes

Yes  , sounds like neve pain Margaret, which can be weird ! I had a feeling like water trickling down inside my leg for weeks after my second op  - i think these nerve pains and sensations can be due to surgery or bruised nerves during the epidural and will settle in time. Not uncommon but unpleasant all the same xxx

Thanks guys. I just needed a bit of reassurance
