Try these reflux symptoms I seem to get

i had tests for chest pains about two years ago.they cleared me of any heart issues.since then my symptoms have changed.i still get the chest pains but not quite as bad.i get abdominal pains along with pain under shoulder blades neck ache and head ache. I get the bubbling feeling on left side of chest and I also get bad acid if I stop taking nexium. I take one of these over the counter tablets everyday.i feel fatigued and if I slightly over eat I get terrible burping fits than can last a couple of hours. I also have shortness of breath sometimes. I don't have all these symptoms together and I also have good and bad days along with anxiety issues brought on by the chest pains..sometimes my voice seems to suffer a bit to especially when I'm clearing my throat for hours in the morning.nasuea is another symptom that occurs occasionally.I'm relating these symptoms to this reflux disease that I've spent so much time reading about...all this while trying to lead a normal life with working everyday and being a dad to two lads..... It also makes me depressed when I'm on my own and I start to worry about it.ive tried diet changes now including cut out caffeine alcohol choclate and all the bad foods.......am I alone with all these symptoms or is this normal.i never seem to have acid coming up but I put that down to the nexium tablets I take everyday.

hi. have you gone thru an upper endoscopy? your symptoms and problems sound exactly the same as mine. last year i decided to have an endoscopy and they discovered i have gastritis and a hiatal hernia. all these symptoms and weird silent reflux were caused by the hiatal hernia. i have been taking omeprazole/lansoprazole for more than 3 years now and stopping them just makes the reflux worse. my gastritis is cleared but the hiatal hernia will be there forever so as the reflux and of course the prazole thing. sad to say this is now our way of life.

Hi Alvin....thanks for the reply. No. I haven't but I think this could be the next step. My gp did say we can put a camera down there and look if the symptoms carried on.thst was a couple of years ago tho and symptoms come and go... I have gone from life and soul of the party to not really going out much in this time due to the symptoms.dont know about you but sometimes I feel as if it's something really bad like cancer or heart issues and this causes depression and anxiety but I suppose that it has to be managed better by myself ..again. Thanks for the advise.

yes stevie. i have been to thw ER 3 times and nothing they could find but panic attacks. everytime we feel some pains and weird symptoms, we worry and think of something serious, blood pressure rises, heart beats faster and we run out of breath. i have learned to relax and calm down when symptoms arise since i knew that all these were caused by the hiatal hernia. the more we panic and worry, the greater the acid and more pressure to the hiatal hernia. just continue with the nexium until you have gone thru an endoscopy. hang on buddy.
