HI there
Ive never posted on any sites before but im wondering if there is anyone out there who is in the same position as me? ( ie both hips replaced in such a short space of time)
if so how are you doing ? Any advice?
hi Tessa i have had two hip replacements too but not as close together as yours! i had one done on Dec 3rd 2018 and the other April 18th 2019 I have had a few problems and its taken its toll on me but i am determined to get my life back! i still have groin pain and now having trouble with a trapped nerve which is giving me grief at the moment cant lift my leg to go to bed so been using my recliner which is causing swelling so
much so i had a big water blister. I am walking without sticks indoors but need one outside. You must let me know how you are coping? i still struggle putting socks on i have to use a sock aid. I am 73 wishing i had it done when i was 60 hope to hear from you take care Regards Cyndey
hi, there is alot of people on another message board I’m on called bone smart. on girl had both done on the same day two months ago and is walking unaided now and doing great. I am three weeks post on left and feeling better then I have in years!
hi folks
i had my 1st one oct 2016 2 nd one may 2017 7 months apart been great totally chsnged my life (48 at the time) best advice l can give is keep doing your exercises and walk alot
Thank you for both for your replies
MY goodness both hips on the same day! i take my hat off to your friend
I’m generally doing ok at four weeks post op from my second one . However i do feel it has been quite an onslaught to my body. I’m still getting some pain and discomfort but generally can link this to doing too much. I forget that my body has gone through two major ops very quickly and think i maybe expect too much too soon!
I’m 63 but was very fit and active prior to this surgery and i am probably too impatient!
Cyndey i do hope your issues subside. You sound very positive despite your setbacks so im sure you will get there
Thanks Donny
I’ll do that
THANK YOU TESSA I HOPE SO? SO MANY POSITIVES ON THIS WEB SITE IS VERY ENCOURAGING TAKE CARE
Thats fantastic!gives me hope! great to hear its possible take care
