Hi all just a note before I watch Deadliest Catch and Sons Of Winter, today I was lucky and made the stairs in our flat normally, not just one at a time, and making the same recovery with my second Hip Replacement as I did with my first, taking it easy, not rushing reading and sleeping a lot, getting out every other day and doing the exercises, that are on the handout, and If I do enough foot pumps and presses into the bed, and bum clenches they do make me tired, as I try to make a good book last as long as possible, you know the ones that you just don't want to finish type. My dressing is coming off on Friday and see what's there then, this time has been easier, as I have been able to sleep on my right side, and not been too scared of the odd pinch and pain, and the swelling has gone away now, but there is a very sharp pain inside my ankle, probably where they pulled me about on the table, remember I was awake the second time, but felt the hammering and chiselling and the milling OMG....BUT!! Not a twinge of Pain...just log like movements of the rest of me being sorted out. Again tonight dinner was High Protein, Tuna steaks and a few chips.
the Air Show drew about 400K people to Blackpool so I was glad not to go onto the Prom, but alas, Sainsbury's car park was a little too far away to get nice shots, and I was there with about 100 other people, watching from afar, and it was tiring for me to stand for the two hours that I was there, I had the camera on a Monopod rest and took a good few shots all pretty much the same and I will share the best of the few here with you, hope you like them, just the Vulcan Bomber and the Red Arrows.
Hope that you are all well and cooling off now that the weather has changed.
So now will watch the recorded TV and turn in about 2.30am for a read, and doze off about 3am, try to stay in bed until midday, not a habit I am enjoying getting used to but am enjoying the time off and change of working nights all the time, will get out with the camera again soon for some prom shots for the last few days of summer before the first week in September and that Nip is in the air again, it never lasts long here in the NW.
Hope this finds you all well and healing up with no worrys.
cheers for now Ian.
