What medication have you been taking for the UC? Some can cause kidney problems and the doctor is supposed to be checking that.

Ive not had any medication since 1985, was on messalazine for a year then stopped only had a couple of flare up after another in 2002 and just recently past few weeks.
Started having reduced renal function since 2008
I have the ANCA antibodies so they are assuming its autoimmune. On reading up its states up to 80% of people with UC have these antibodies. So was just wondering if anyone else had kidney probs.
