After fibros Uterine Embolisation there's sometimes infection . Can some one who's experience it tell me the symptoms of a infection and when would you go to AE?
It's incredibly unlikely and you wouldn't need to go to ER- just call your IR.
Symptoms would be fever, pain, and bad smelling discharge.

I had an infection after my hysterectomy - I was really sore, stiff, and felt hot.I went to my GP surgery, they checked my temperature, inscision area - and at my GPs they can do a quick blood test that shows infection markers. Mine was dealt with at my GPs - but if I had worries/ pain at a time when I couldn't see my doctor I would have tried the out of hours services or A&E. Hope you are feeling better today!
Hi Amanda, I was admitted to hospital twice with infection after my ufe. In both cases the symptom was high fever that did not come down with paracetamol. If you have high fever (39 C or above), I'd suggest going to a&e as they can give you intravenous antibiotics that work more effectively than oral. If no high fever is present, then the GP will be probably fine.
