Winter befofe last i started having nnumb and tingly hands,

Morning Mrskyle; I am wondering "have you actually been given a diagnosis of Fibro, after having EVERYRTHING else ruled out"?....have you had a Lumbar Puncture, and as you say, you are still waiting on your MRI? I feel that you DO need to make sure that this is the correct diagnosis.
It may well be that you do have Fibro; however, your symptoms are certainly very severe and sound a lot worse than others, and to have ALL at the one time.
What specialists have you seen? and what treatments have you trialled?
Would like it if you could give us some more answers to the above, as you do sound in need of some-one to talk to as well as more help. I will be waiting to hear back, and hopefully can help you in some direction/s ?? Bron
My son's got Reynauld's disease and it sounds similar. He was usuing a rotivator in my garden and he had to wear his motorbike gloves because it was hurting his hands, and he said they were getting really cold.

This can certainly be me/CFs. I have similar symptoms as you--tingling, weAkness and heaviness in legs. Burning and numbness. These symptoms started three years ago when I had relapse of my me/CFs. You should make sure nothing else is going on. But if not, it could def be this lousy illness.
I really feel bad for you Mrskyle, it is so hard to not be able to do for yourself. I must agree with previous posts, please share more information about your symptoms.
Years ago during a Me/Cfs relapse, I was diagnosed with carpel tunnel (sp?), it felt like my hands were being attacked with a staple gun, electric shocks constantly. I had surgery on my right hand, not surprised when it didn't work. Figured it was some new surprise from CFS.. I had it in both hands, even mentioned having my hand removed, (the Dr. calmly explained the procedure for amputation.) I was shocked, shouldn't he have suggested other options? Thank God, my family Dr. when I saw him in tears, (I had been in constant pain for months, couldn't hardly eat or sleep) prescribed Lyrica, I swear I slept for 3 days straight. Anyway, I suspect there was some trigger to cause this relapse...probably stress. I don't know enough about your issues, but Lyrica my help depending.
That's chilling about the Dr explaining amputation! I would've been terrified. So glad it didn't happen.
Me too, I still can't believe a specialist didn't try medicine before surgery. The pain was awful, pain meds didn't help, nothing helped until I took Lyrica. It was a Godsend for me, I still take it as needed. It knocks the pain down immediately, I usually only take one dose. But now I know better than waiting, I take it asap. (The only drawback is it can make you feel goofy, until you get use to it)
That's great that you found something that helps. If he was any good he wouldn't thought of it first; you're right, to jump straight into thinking about amputation and shocking you's just terrible!
I mean he would've thought of it first!
