Getting on busses or going in to exams causes me to get extremely anxious as I know there is no possibility of me being able to go to the toilet. So then I get panicky and suddenly desperately need to go, regardless of how much I've drunk and how soon beforehand I've been.
outt I doI get that too, what I do is that I go to the toilet and try and get and you know get as much out as possible before heading out
Chris, panic not, you have made a habit of it. Kinda like
where am I? Can I pee? Yes "cool bro back to business" NO "wel you really need to go, oh how will you hold on, don't those bumps make it worse etc etc etc" simply your faced with a situation=your mind decides how your to react=your do as your told. CBT or even self hypnosis, even meditating on the problem and visualising in your mind how you want to react. Finally for the next few weeks wear a hair band around your wrist and when you feel the wrong thoughts just give it a ping to remind you who is in control,
stay strong brother you have already helped yourself 🙏
Thanks man, this has really helped. Putting it into perspective like that has helped tonnes I appreciate it.
Hi Chris. I find when I'm anxious, that I tend to go to the toilet a lot but it's more something to do because I can't sit still than because I actually need to go! This could well be the case with you as well so just try reconditioning yourself to wait abit longer and do something else to take your mind off it for a while!
No worries, keep in touch 😀
Nerves effect the body in all kinds of ways. I bet when you do go that you do not urinate a lot.
I have tingling in my legs down to the soles of my feet when am having an anxiety attack.
Could you tell yourself that you will soon be near a toilet and will not wet yourself?
I have tried telling myself that. And it doesn't really work. However I did some meditation over it yesterday, and I was okay today for my exam
Hi again
I forgot to mention meditation. That works for me also.
You are not alone in your problem. I tell myself that at the bad times there are thousands of people feeling the same.
