Hi there, I'm seeking for advice as I'm not clear about what's going on with me. I have genital warts on the tip of my penis at the urethra opening, so I had already seeked treatment from my doctor and was asked to use Aldara cream. I applied it on the wart and also the area around it which is the penile head to prevent the wart from spreading. I have been using it for the past 1 month already. After that, I realised a pain when I slide my foreskin down to wash my penis, it was a slight sting at first but the pain got more as the days go by. Now, as usual when I'm going to wash my penis, I rolled down my foreskin again, but this time I notice some white ulcers (quite big) around the foreskin and penis. May I know what's wrong? I'll post some photos soon.

Are they painful, itchy, burning? I would associate those symptoms with herpes but if they do not hurt then maybe its something else like a reaction to the cream you are using. You should go get those swabbed to see what it is.
Hi Mark, first of all dont panic! I have had the exact same problem from using Aldara. It made me so sore at times I would nearly cry anytime I needed the loo, it turned my vagina into chaotic evil! Take a break from the cream and itll heal itself with time. Honestly dont worry, its just a side effect of the cream

Omg, really? Is there a way to use the cream and reduce this effect? this ulcer stings especially when I touch it with water when I shower.
Yes, I’m actually taking a break from the cream just to verify it was caused by the cream. Maybe because it’s very dry that it caused this ulcer?

Just try to be extremely careful, use a Q tip and only apply directly to the warts and not on any of the surrounding skin. Itll be sore for a few days but will clear up and go back to normal!
Got it, will do so once my ulcers are gone, it’s agonizing. It definitely is diminishing, just can’t wait to be normal.
As for the genital warts, I wonder if it’ll go away when I resume applying the Aldara cream.

Didn’t get swabbed, just stopped Aldara application until now for about a week now, the ulcers are slowly diminishing although still there. Now I’m just waiting it out.
THANK YOU, i am having the same reaction and started to cry thinking i had cancer. I recommend you to shave in order to find another warts that might be in the pubis zone
had simlair issue with waritcon i had tiny wart on foreskin i put tiny dot onit when i out clothes on it touched against tip and caused white ulcer so yes i think i to stop cream need be extra careful stuff works but totally can be painful on normal skins and yeah whitw ulcer and really sore isnt very comfortable
