I haven't a clue what this pain is and my doctor keeps on saying it is anxiety and at worse costochriniditos. I was diagnosed with anxiety last September and am currently on 100mg Sertraline/Zoloft but am going to be increasing that to 150mg any day now. I also take 2mg Diazepan/Valium as and when needed but I have had this pain under my left rib and around my left side that comes and goes and feels almost feels like someone is pushing on a bruise feeling if that makes sense and is worse when I push on it I have also noticed this same sorta pain is also under the breast/chest area in the centre Doctor originally gave ibuprofen amd omeprazole (due to being on an ssri) but has now stopped that and I am using 10% ibuprofen gel externally but that also doesnt seem to really help. I also suffer with lightheadiness/spacedspaced out which is why dr wants me to start 150mg sertraline. I have noticed I am also putting weight on since starting the sertraline but Dr says all ssri could do this and he wants me to battle through and let them actually find a correct dosage. Could this be linked? Any info would be appreciated
hi i too am freaking out ,suffer anxiety every minute if every day for years i have every pain going .i have the pain in middle just below my chest it feels uncomfortable when i sit down i dare nt go docs ive been googling wondering if its a hiatus hernia .IM not on sertraline i take loprofamine but ive heard any of them can put weight on .DOES pain go yo your back ?
Hi, yes i have also thought it could be a Hiatus Hernia, but doctor says he doesn’t think so. I have read alsorts from trapped gas, IBS, Ulcers, even as far as P.EP.E which mu doctor done the wells test for but I scored 0 so they say “costochriniditos” which is apparently the muscle/cartlidge inbetween our ribs and can take months even years.
Any antidepressant can becauae apparently whenbwe are depressed our metabolism is different or we eat more and have a betterab?etterapetite thus eating more.
Yes I also get pains in my shoulder blade area (where the bone sticks out if that makes sense)
