Underactive and cold

I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid a few years ago but over the past 6 months i have felt the cold more. Im sat here with a onsie and dressing gown on and still cold 

More so  from my knees to my feet i am just so cold 

Any help or ideas greatfully appreciated

Do you know what your most recent blood test results are? What medication are you on?

19 years later and I’m sill always cold!

Hi Chris, a lot of thyroid oatients find they need to increase their meds in the winter time and decrease as the weather warms up.

Other than the meds, I’ve found esssntialaminovavid complex and phenylalanine supplements to be helpful. A hot water bottle helps- sometimes I sleep with one. I also use a space heater next to my bed and take very hot baths, as well as visit the hot tub at my local gym.

Im on 125 levothyroxine , every year i have the blood test i think surely its going to say i need to increase and every time it comes back as im on correct dosage

I do use a hot water bottle evry night sometimes get out of bed to refill

i do worry sometimes about my baths as i have to have them very hot to make any difference

Cant afford the gym unfotunately

I was always cold until I was actually  diagnosed and on the right dose. I was warm thereafter and still am  after years, never cold since
