If the antibiotics did not clear the UTI, the infection may be resistant to the medication you took for it. So you will need to go back to your doctor who may put you on a different, stronger antibiotic for a longer period of time. My mum’s UTI was resistant to the antibiotic she was on and this showed up in the test. She was put on another drug which worked.
You could ask for a pelvic ultrasound to find out if you have any gnae problems and ask for an abdominal ultrasound.to check your abdominal organs. The bowel habit changes may have to be checked by a gastroenterologist.
I don’t know why your white blood cell count is low. Shortness of breath could be caused by anxiety about your symptoms.
I would ask to see another doctor and hopefully he would listen when you explain your problems. I usually write a list of things before I go to the doctor. At the moment, our GPs will discuss one medical complaint as time is very short but if you ask for a double appointment that would give you more time to explain your symptoms.
Listening to your problems and diagnosed ones I think it might be an idea to see a different doctor.
Hope this helps
Before my IBS diagnosis, no doctor could help me, so I wrote down all the conditions I was worrying about and asked each doctor I saw to disprove each of the illnesses. This was done in one appointment of ten minutes. I had to do this on eight occasions before I got answers.
