Well I had my PIP appeal this week, what a grilling . . . Did not enjoy it one bit, I was told a decision would be sent to me.
I received my brown envelope today, and opened tentatively, the appeal was REFUSED, they recognise my Menieres, but do not feel it warrants receiving PIP. It's very disheartening, I've been sitting here feeling low and wondering how I'm going to cope.
Bertman I would love to hear some of your lovely words of wisdom.
I curious did they give you a reason why it was denied. And I am guessing PIP is some form of disability?

The people who conduct these tests are morons..
Its my belief that they are schooled in intimidation and interagation technics
and trickery to catch you out from the very start i.e. your handwriting filling in
the forms make demanding by making you travel watching you from the moment
you reach the centre and all other tricks to test youre hearing i was in a large
room with nothing but her desk and two plastic chairs..even with my poor hearing
i could of heard a pin drop..they are a breed of there own who work to agenders
where only so many people can pass to keep the contracts with the goverment.
they are not helping the country they are the cause ..My story is that i was on E.S.A.
in the WRAG group...Ive Had M.D.17yrs and had put off applying for P.I.P. or
going in the support group because i was coping mostly because i was not going
out and if i did it was only if i had to as i am single i have shop and carnt abide
buses cars all pulic transport my world had become very small anyway has i
got older my attacks were worse i was dropping or falling over furniture laid up
on park benches in the rain re acurring dreams of vertigo only to wake up in the dark
seeing the window zooming past and throwing up i had bad fracture to my tibia so i
could not get to the ground easy and kinder fall when im half way down..so i dicided
to claim these extra benefits ..when i put in fro P.I.P. someone in the DWP thought
it a good idea to send me for an ATOS assement coincerdence or what so now i
had to attend two assements both about 20miles away deliberate or what the first
was P.I.P. the inerviewer was about my age around sixty and she to her credit was
nice as pie could not do enough for me even going out to get me water thats usettling
in itself and not expected at all..i waited about 3 weeks and past it with flying colours..
The ESA was next..i think you can Ges what im going to say ..my interviewer was a
sickly piece of work,she started off the interview with a rigid and intimmidating body
stance with disbelieving looks raising her eye brows egging me on putting words in
my mouth fabricating my apperance as my brother had already told me i looked
a mess lying about my perscription telling DWP that im on the perscribed dosage when
my pain killers are doubled as in amitripterene and anti depressants..3weeks later
i had 12 pionts awarded me you need 15 points ..i apealed they put me back in the
wrag group so good news there but i was not happy and am at present apealing again
to get in the support group which i believe i should be ..it feels like there barterring with my
benefit thinking he will be happy and there saving money when i am entilted to that benefit
they a trying to rob the disabled to bail the country out..my advice to you is first get the Citizens
Advice on your case get your doctor to state that you suffer vertigo ..vertigo is a very important
word as it involves spinning dizziness is classed as a different thing altogether with spinning
you have no oriontation and so fall which may mean you are in danger of hurting yourself
or others meaning you could grab them push them into danger..i no it feels bad now and its worth going
to the citizens advice and there tell you your option..you realy do have to keep appealing
It is an unfair system more down to luck then illness..I wish you all the luck in the world and keep

From these posts it doesn't sound like you're in the US. I was denied veteran's benefits for MD, which I've had since 1990. I'm appealing the decision and found a great atty to handle my case. If you are in the US I can give you the name of the attorney. Either way, Good luck and I hope you find the answers you need.

I went through the appeal/Tribunal - having had 4 people on the panel, brutal, it was ultimately the Judges decision, I had a brilliant representative, but believe I can't appeal again, and to be honest I don't think I have any fight left. I applied Feb 2017 . . . A very tired & emotional sufferer. To make matters worse 2 people on the panel said their respective family members suffered from Menieres (what can I say)?
Sharon I had the same thing a few years ago,just appeal like I did I think 90% of claimants win their case,and they will back pay you from the date you put your claim in,good luck
A speed bump Sharon we all see people on tje free train who can work just fine they are just overweight from eating too many twinkies but they get free food free utilities free shelter I believe doctors need to really how debilitating this can be we need a system to help and if you get on your feet it gets cut off Once those free loaders are on they never get off and people who truly need help can't. Ahhhhhh hang in there may God see what you are going through and hear all of our prayers

I had my appeal hearing which unfortunately was refused.

I had a bit of time this morning
and was intrigued to find an answer for you about the 3yrs
waiting time ..and ive come up with a link that may help..
at the bottem of the paige it says
you can reapply for P.I.P. and start the process again but unless something as changed
your unlikely to get a different outcome..it means you do not have to wait 3 yrs but you
to see the CAB to have a look at your claim and see if theres anthing you have missed out
or any problems your going through now as a result of the waiting process like anxiety stress
get your doctor to back you up ant may be a letter from the ENT...i hope this helps....stev
