I'm 17, and last Saturday 5/30 I got an abscess on my face that ended up being cellulitis/MRSA (methicillin-resistant staph infection) again, after just getting it 3 weeks before on the other side of my face (both from popped pimples). I didn't get tested at all the first time and still have no idea how I got it not only once, but twice. This second time around, I've been much more careful, washing my face and body with Hibiclens soap, and disinfecting everything I touch. I've been taking bactrim for 5 days now, my prescription is 7 days. I've also been taking prescribed ibuprofen. This morning I noticed that the vulvar opening of my vagina is red and irritated on one side, there isn't any pus or pain, though there was a very small amount of blood and discharge when I first wiped, my period ended 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure if its my body's reaction to the antibiotics or if the antibiotics killed off the good bacteria leaving me with BV, just an irritation (i didn't use Hibiclens down there btw) or if the MRSA itself somehow got in that area (which I don't know how it would). Please tell me what you think!!!!
hi please go check with your ob gyn any bit of blood should be checked out asap. if you are peeing a lot and theres a tiny bit of blood it is most likely a UTI. you are so young its highly unlikely its anything serious but its worth checking out just to be sure

it went back to normal a few days after I posted this so I don’t think it was anything big
