Hi Jean I wasnt here then but you are inspirational and very sorry for your loss indeed, Ive had that part - not the hip operation yet, and know how heavy you can feel at times but just to say it really does change along the way, please know the sun will come out again, often when you least expect it and a sad day can change into a lovely day, funnily Ive been caring for my dear amazing mum for the last three years, and feel the emotional stress is very linked to our physical being, hoping you will continue to improve
please look after yourself it is at times like this sometimes we have forgotten how to do that when caring for loved ones
Thank you Jean for taking the time to write here...It's nice to hear that you are feeling better. You are a wonderful person, take care and look after yourself.
Hello Jean, I very glad to hear that your hip has improved so much and you no longer need painkillers. It must have been very difficult for you caring for your husband when you had just undergone the operation and needed to be looked after yourself. I am so very sorry to hear of the sad loss of your dear husband and you are being very brave and thoughtful to give encouragement to others. Take care of yourself and I hope the light at the end of your tunnel becomes brighter and brighter as time goes on. x
Sorry to hear about the loss of your husband after 40 years. It must be very hard moving forward but at least your hip is improving so you can take on some new activities.
Hi Jean! Well done you! Like you I am my Hubby's carer as he too is disabled with oa of spine, hips and knees and is severely sighted and deaf! I had my right hip done in march ! Still roll on the warmer weather! Regards Amanda
Of course I remember you, we had our surgery days apart.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband....I hope that you have family and friends that can help you during this difficult time.
I am glad to hear that you are getting your own strength back and are able to get
around pain free. I too aim waiting anxiously for a surgery date to get my left hip done...I will still be nervous but all the same I want to be pain free...it is no use getting one done and still in pain!!!!
We finally have our summer weather, so it is a nice change to be able to sit outside and enjoy all the flowers and sunshine.
You were always very kind and supportive to me Jean and I thank you from the bottom of my heart....best wishes to you!

Hi Jean. I am new to this forum and have posted my own discussion today. It is through people like you that help people like me about to go through the hip operation. Although you have had a rough period and have not had the quick recovery that others may have had, it is reasurring that even when the recovery is long and dark there is always hope and light at the end of the tunnel. It is good to know that even when you have gone through what you have it is still worth it. Thank you for giving us the light to follow ...x
Dearest Jean, you beautiful soul ... thank you so much for sharing your love and encouragement - my deepest sympathy for your loss - he crossed over knowing how much he was loved and cared for by you - and now it is time to take care of your self - warm hug -
