Hello everyone, I promised myself that I would come on here and update everyone once the medication started working. So 6 months ago I had the flu, was going through relationship issues and my job was stressful. One night i couldnt sleep and I began to panic, then night after night it was like I was scared to sleep I would jerk or gasp everytime I tried to lay down.I went to the hospital two times thinking I was dying. Everything was fine, finally a doctor told me it was sleep anxiety and put me on zoloft. When I started zoloft I slept less I would take heavy sleeping pills ans get 1 hour of sleep and completly freak out, I kid you not I thought I would die of no sleep. The meds made me have more anxiety chills, brain zaps, skin crawling, twitches, less sleep, panic attacks all in the beginning. I went up on doses down on doses still needed sleeping pills to sleep every single night, my body or mind was scared to even take a nap. I want to let you all know it took 6 months for me to be able to sleep without pills and now I feel amazing. I know it feels like the end of the world right now but you WILL get better and feel better then you ever have. My constant worry is gone, my constant health anxiety is gone. It took a long time but it was worth it. I know some of you dont want to live right now, I know how that feels, please stay strong and hang in there you will get so much better. And please inbox me if you need someone to talk to or need comfort.
Thank you Shauna for giving alot of people hope that there is light at the end the tunnel. Angel blessing 😇🦋
Thank you Shauna. Very encouraging. My anxiety is similar - I am worried about getting stuck in spaces or lost. It’s so crazy and dumb!! Not sure how to shake it. Are you still on Zoloft? What do you think helped you?
Thank you shauna, I am struggling big time going into my 5th week and reading through forums for positive stories to keep me going 😪
Terrible sleep problems at the beginning but much better now, although I am on 200 mg of this drug for OCD!
Yes I am still on zoloft 50mg, it has changed my life. I didnt even realize how much anxiety controlled me and I finally know how it feels to be normal.
