hello to all my lovelies 😀
Well op was on Friday and it's Monday morning here in Australia....so time is chugging along slowly.
pain is manageable, it's more of a constant ache in my shoulder, collar bone and shoulder to elbow. I'm on 2 Endone every 4 hours and 2 Panadol (500mg paracetamol) every 4 hours. I stagger them so I take 2 Endone then 2 hours later I take 2 Panadol then 2 hours later 2 Endone etc. at night I take 1X20mg Targin and 2 Endone and then Endone and Panadol throughout the night. Had a shower yesterday, which felt like heaven. Had to be very careful not to move or lift shoulder joint, just have to let arm hang as a dead weight and bend at the waist to let the arm dangle to stretch it and hopefully prevent adhesions. The tricky part was getting the sling back on and adjusted correctly. Sleeping certainly dosnt come easily, it's really more just napping than good solid sleep. Can't wait to be a week post op.....hoping to feel a WHOLE lot better.
i hope you are all heading in the right direction and getting your meds sorted.mtake care each and every one of you 😘❌❌❌❌
So glad things are going well for you. Hope your naps turn into great slumber soon!
Thanks lovely....that's EXACTLY what I'm hoping too 😘❌❌
Morning Kerri
Im keeping my fingers crossed that you csn have your lovely 8 hours solid sleep without waking up. xxx
I stupidly thought i could sleep on my bad side last night!! Why on earth did i do that...grr..was in so much pain then. Lol
I thought i was going have to get up and sleep in the recliner.
No idea what the benefits of another steroid injection on sat are yet.
Take care xxx
Oh Deb....I dream of a good pain free nights sleep....I swear I'm not greedy....I would be happy with 6 hours 🙏😊🙏 I also long to be able to sleep on my side.....AAAGGGHHH......sounds divine, restful and peaceful. Funnily enough I find the recliner VERY comfortable for sleeping.
Your having another steroid injection?? I never got any satisfaction from steroid injection. I had two in my shoulder and 2 in my knee a few years ago.......got no relief from any of them. Well good luck with your injection anyway my love. Let us know how you get on.....hugs and kisses coming your way 💖😊❌❌❌
Keep going, you're doing well. Sleep will come when your body is exhausted. I remember it well!! Arghhhhh! Trickle those meds throughout the day. I found slow release tramadol at night really helped me after about a week.
Xx
Thanks Ali....I could be at that point tonight, I feel exhausted tonight, battling to keep my eyes open. My day time naps kept getting interrupted today because my husband was home to care for me, he kept dozing off and snoring or his work phone rang on and off all day, so I didn't really get a decent nap and I'm feeling it now. I took 2 Endone at 6 I'll take a Targin around 9 then 2 more Endone at 10. During the night if I need to I take 2 Panadol then 2 hours later 2 Endone. My Targin are my slow release.....God we sound like junkies....topic of conversation are our meds...lol 😘❌❌❌
