Update on Palpatations !!!

so after going to docs, with Palpatations, been told I was menopausal, even though blood test came back normal, I had got used to hot sweats and palps and thought I was doing really well with them. smile

but just returned from holiday, where nearly every day I experienced chest discomfort, palps and hot sweats, returned to docs today, as got v scared on holiday, and she has given me tablets for stomach reflux!!! Also ecg next week, as you can imagine, feel a bit confused but as long as it stops I'll be happy !!!

I totally understand. I have had exactly the same. You are certainly not alone. Bug hugs..

Do not fret, it happened to me, and I am alive and just fine.  Took me months, though. Hang on, it will pass.

IT happened to me last year had palpitations all year finally stopped this year which is good some of my anxieties stopped too but still there a little bit

Hang in there it will get better

Hey dear I too had palpitations and they passed about 6 months later.  It's Valentines Day so sleep naked.  Put the night sweats to good use. hehe

My palps each month were getting me down, various trips to a&e to be told 'panic attacks' I've since been diagnosed with paroxysmal AF, apparently this can happen with the onset of menopause, either way keep bugging ur GP if ur unhappy, we shouldn't have to put up with this x

Would appear that palps are par for the course during this 'orrible trek. Only experienced very mild ones so far - last week in particular. Just finished yet another P (mad) and found I was a little 'over-breathing' (not quite hypervent'g), which I sorta breath myself out of.  The Palps are a bit of a reminder of things changing, so again I sorta try to calm myself.

I know they'll get worse, as will the hot sweats (just had a coffee in McDs:  that was fun. Might have to give them a swing!).

When things get more pronouced, I truly think that'll be me back to the GP for some HRT. I can't let this monster rule me.

Afterall, I'm the ONLY Monster in this house.......apparently, so I'm told (emm, maybe that time's arrived, and I'm too busy sweating and moaning to notice, tee heelol!)
