Updated post!!!****** 6 months on citalopram

Hi, I've been on these since January now. I am defiantly a lot better than I was . I have better days than others, but being on them 6 months I still don't feel 100%. Is this normal??

I still don't have much interest in much things, still don't really look forward to much as my negative thoughts and feelings get in the way.

I'd say I've been on 40 mg for about 2-3 months??? So I'm thinking to give them another 2 or 3 months and then try decreasing to 30 mg? Because Maybe the dose I'm taking could be too high? I just don't know. Advice would be much appreciated x x X

I also have recently started taking the contraceptive pill and I'm just so exhausted, no energy or

Motivation for anything. Just feel down really. Could this be the pill or just me in general?

It's still early days. Its a slow process for your brain to recover. If you had been in a car crash you would be kinder to yourself.

I've said this many times. Citalopram is a good drug but a slow one. You will recover but you must give it chance. Its horrible when you feel like hell and normal to want to be better but it takes time.

The pill is definitely not good for your mood

Its side effects made me stop taking it.

I just did a post on this yesterday it's normal to have ups and downs a lot of people have been saying. It's mad that it can take so long but I'm so appreciative that it seems to be working . Good luck smile
