Hello everyone, I'm 22 boy and for 2 years I'm struggling with an upset stomach. In my last year of apprenticeship I lived alone and I had to eat only ready meals and junk food. I just didn't know how to cook. Symptoms that I developed and recently worsened: - Bloating (Everyday) - Constipation (Everyday) - Upper middle and left abdominal pain (Sometimes) - Frequent bowel movements (8-15 times a day) - Bowel incontinence - Incomplete bowel movement feeling - No blood at all but sometimes mucus - Lack of energy, tiredness Blood and all those simple tests were fine, I had even a negative IBS poo test. Recently I had to call my GP for a next step - gastroscopy but because of coronavirus I'll have to wait a while. So until I get that camera test I thought it would be a good idea to post here for an opinion. So... everything is fine until I lean down. I work in construction industry... but not heavy weights are the problem. When I lean down I fell I'm putting pressure on my stomach and then I need to get to the toilet. If you could give me an idea of what it could be... I'd be grateful. Thank you, take care!
Hello.. sorry your having a hard time. So you have constipation and diarrhea on and off? It sounds like IBS but not sure. IBS does not show up on any test..I do know that. Metamucil will be your friend if you have IBS thats more diarrhea. If your more constipated then I’d eat lots of fruits and stay away from things like breads and pastas that stop you up..lots of water. Pay attention to what your eating. I know you don’t know how to cook(yet) but a lot of foods can cause problems like dairy, gluten. So pay attention with maybe a food diary so you can remember what hurts or causes gas. Try to stick with potatoes, rice, chicken. Easy to digest foods are best…look them up to get more ideas. Never eat vegetables raw salads ..they are hard on the stomach so I’d stay away for now. Soup is soothing too. If you had a crock pot..you could cook up some easy stuff! look up crock pot meals if you decided to buy one and try. Feel better soon!
