Urolift surgery 2-1/2 years ago now failing very depressed

It’s been two years since I participated in these forums here.
I got many answers to my questions about the urolift surgery, recovery, side effects and what to expect.
I have been suffering most of my life with retention of urine. It started when I was 15 and well in to my twenties. I suffered with it without any help medically. I just learned to live with it. From the time I was 19 there were many times My bladder felt like it was about to burst but I could not pee. I went from one urologist to another and they would first catheterize me then insert a steel medical rod to stretch my urethra. I don’t recall what that procedure was called but it hurt like hell adding to my suffering. I would be able to pee but it would never last. Two of these urologist were supposed to be the best at Johns Hopkins here in Baltimore where I live in the US. The pain and suffering were horrible. It wasnt until I was 21 that I ended up in the hospital for surgery. The surgeon only described my problem as a blockage in the bladder neck.
I have no idea what that surgery was. I never had another problem urinating until I was in my late 40’s. Those years were the best in my life. It became bad again when I was in my sixties, but tolerable.
I had a urodynamic test done and cystoscope and was diagnosed as having a pelvic function disorder.
I went through therapy and it did help, but not a hundred percent. Recently at 72 I had the urolift and now I am back in agony again feeling full and barely able to pee. My stream is weak and sometimes I cant go at all. I very depressed and my quality of life is taken from me. Any advice is appreciated. I wish I had great results from this surgery.
I apologize for this being so long. I have no one to talk to about this that would understand.

Do apologize for you long post. It gives a good background of your problems. How long ago was the urolift done? Why did you chose urolift? Are you still sexually active? Baesd on the cystoscopy Is the only area of restriction in the near the prostate?

Nevermind, the how long ago for urolift I see it was 2.5 years.
