I'm 6 weeks pregnant and my flare up is just starting. I was wondering if it is safe to use prednisolone rectal foam? Has anyone used it while they were pregnant and is your baby ok? Did you use it in the first 12 weeks? Only having 1 very loose stool in the morning but then nothing for the rest of the day and no blood, would you use it just for a short period to try and zap it before it gets bad or wait till 12 weeks with the risk of it getting worse and having to be on it longer?
Also is there anything I could do to help my symptoms without having to take the prednisolone?

I think you ought to ask your doctor this question.
Are you sure you are having an actual flare-up? The 'symptoms' you descibe are exactly the same as I have and I'm in remission. One or two loose-ish movements per day with no blood or mucus is the norm for me.

Hi there im taking prednisone pills and im 6 months pregnant so im guessing the rectal ones are safe also u sure its a flare? Because i have a flare have the frequent restroom trips and internal bleeding. My ob/gyn said prednisone was safe to take as well
