I need to ask, as I have yet to reach menopause and still have these nasty "times of the month" would I still be able to use the cream whilst bleeding?
I still use it during my period. Just apply after bathing.
Yes of course you can, but try and keep the blood away from your skin by using a barrier cream, you probably feel low cos of your hormone surge playing havock with your emotions!
You must use the cream to keep from itching.
That is very important.
Do not let your period stop you from using it.
I gather that you use napkins; have you considered the benefit of tampons in this situation? The only thing to watch is the length of time a tampon is in place, never more than 4 hours; at night you still need to use a napkin to allow full night's sleep. The 4 hour limit is to prevent toxic shock syndrome.
One other thing, having read your other post, I now realise that tampon use may be impossible for you; where the LS is only on the labia majora you should be able to use tampons, but once the vaginal entrance is involved, forget the idea of tampons. Also, coconut oil can be very useful as it is soothing, urine-proof, and has nice anti bacterial/antifungal properties.
Best of luck, and keep your chin up !!
You're right. I have not been able to use tampons for almost a year. Another difficulty I have is finding comfortable, perfume free sanitary towels. They all seem to have something in them now which I'm allergic to and aggravates my LS.
Yes, the makers of girlie things just don't seem to be aware of or willing to care about effects of chemical "stinks" they put in their products. Your only option is to get a roll of thick flannelette and make your own. You may find it a lot cheaper, as you can boil-wash them, dry them in a tumble drier and reuse them.
good luck.
