Santé de l'utérus

Im worried about keeping a check on the uterus in menopause, i did ask the doctor about yearly checks/screening but she said unless there was a problem it isn't offered. I don't mean to be a hypochondriac but prevention is better than cure in my book. what are your thoughts on this?

J'accepte. Je pense que les dépistages annuels devraient toujours être proposés et laisser au choix de la femme si elle souhaite les faire. La prévention est toujours un avantage.

Totally agree with you -annual screening should be available. I feel like a hypochondriac too sometimes!!! Xx

Hi pinkcatfairy,

I think the same, I'm on HRT. How do I know if all is well if we are not tested for it?

Yes im all for testing but i suppose like with everything its all down to money! Just the other day my sister in law said that she is bleeding after four years in menopause. I dont want to wait until it gets to a stage where i suddenly have a symptom, i would rather be checked yearly! I hope it isnt anything for her to worry about. I almost feel like making up a problem just so i can get checked out! But i know that isnt the way to go x

My sister in law had a bleed 10 years after her last. They checked her for all sorts and all is well. She asked how is it possible they said they didn't know but it's rare.

It does make you wonder if ovulation had occurred also?

Thanks zinzangie for your reply, yes it does make you wonder, i had my ovaries removed so if it happened to me then it would be the uterus or something x
